Backup & Restore
Back up and restore all user profiles, quick tunes settings, custom motion scripts, and dashboards.
All the information about profiles, quick tunes settings and custom motion scripts are stored in Documents\MotionSystems\ForceSeatPM
directory.
profiles.ini- contains user created profiles (without quick tunes values, only profile definition)profilesExtra.ini- contains quick tunes settings for built-in and custom profilesScripts- by default this directory contains all custom motion scriptsDashboards- this directory contains all custom made dashboardsBackups- this directory contains daily backups of profiles.ini and profilesExtra.ini files - the file format is profile.ini.MONTH_DAY.bak
Tip
If you wish to make a backup of all your profiles, generate a Snapshot file and store it somewhere safe.
Each Snapshot beside logs, contains all profiles and quick tunes configuration.
When new version of ForceSeatPM is installed, it automatically creates backup of profiles.ini and profilesExtra.ini files. Names for the backup files were as follows:
- profiles.ini.pre.VERSION_DATE (e.g. profiles.ini.pre.2.145_2022.11.22_202238)
- profilesExtra.ini.pre.VERSION_DATE (e.g. profilesExtra.ini.pre.2.145_2022.11.22_202238)
In order to perform a backup, make copy of a full folder Documents\MotionSystems\ForceSeatPM directory. Alternatively, create
a Snapshot which beside logs, contains all profiles and quick tunes configuration.

- Copy and paste the entire content of a backup ForceSeatPM folder into the main ForceSeatPM directory (
Documents\MotionSystems\ForceSeatPM) - Allow to Replace the files
- Start ForceSeatPM software - profiles and quick tunes settings are now restored.
