Motion Systems brand kit

Logos in vector and raster, the colours with their Pantone and CMYK values, and the rules that keep the mark consistent. Everything here comes straight from our visual identity system.

Horizontal lockup

The default. Use it unless the space genuinely will not take it.

Navy

The primary version. Use it on white and on light backgrounds up to 30% grey.

For dark backgrounds and photography - the surface behind it must be at least 60% black.

Single-colour reproduction: engraving, stamping, fax-grade print, anywhere colour is not available.

Vertical lockup

For narrow or square placements - a roll-up, a badge, a square avatar - where the horizontal version would have to shrink below the minimum size.

Navy

The vertical primary. Reach for it when the horizontal lockup would have to shrink below its minimum.

Colours

Two colours carry the brand. Pantone and CMYK are printed here because that is what a print house will ask for - and no amount of eyedropping a screenshot will give them the right answer.

Motion Blue

The symbol, the second half of the wordmark, and every accent on the website.

Respect the brand

Use the files as supplied. These are the rules from our visual identity system, shortened to the ones that come up in practice.

Please do

Scale the logo only in proportion - the SVG stays sharp at any size.
Keep clear space around the logo of at least X, where X is the height of the "M" inside the symbol.
On a light background use the navy version, as long as the background stays under 30% grey.
On a dark background or photography use the white version, with at least 60% black behind it.
Only two taglines are approved: "Powered by" and "Motion is just the beginning".

Please don't

Changing the colours, or recolouring the logo to match a layout.
Moving the symbol, resizing one element against the other, or rebuilding the lockup.
Stretching or squashing - anything that breaks the proportions.
Retyping the name in another typeface, or shortening it to "MS".
Adding shadows, glows, outlines or any other graphic effect.
Adding the domain or other text inside the logo.

Harabara MaisThe logotype itself and product names. Never used to retype "MotionSystems" by hand.
