Velocity Sim Racing Lounge Arrives in Dallas

Velocity's second sim racing lounge opens on Saturday, July 25 in North Dallas: over 10,000 square feet, a bar and kitchen, and 34 motion simulators running on Qubic System QS-220, QS-V20 and QS-S35 platforms.

Texas's Largest Sim Racing Center

Velocity Opens in North Dallas

Velocity opens its second sim racing lounge on Saturday, July 25, at 9830 N. Central Expressway in The Hill shopping center, North Dallas. The floor covers more than 10,000 square feet - double the original Houston venue, which took over 28,000 drivers through its doors in its first year - and Velocity bills it as the largest sim racing center in Texas.

Racing shares the room with a kitchen and a bar: an open-wheel car hangs from the ceiling, motorcycles sit on display, the lighting traces a circuit across the ceiling, and a large video wall carries live racing and viewing parties.

34 Motion Simulators

QS-220, QS-V20 and QS-S35

Every station in the building runs on Qubic System motion hardware: the 3DOF QS-220, the 4DOF QS-V20 and the 6DOF QS-S35, each paired with a 180-degree wraparound screen. The line-up runs from the entry-level Racer seats, through the Pro stations, to a single Ultimate rig that Velocity describes as the only one of its kind in Texas.

Dallas is also the first location to carry what Velocity calls the world's first kid-friendly motion simulator.

On Track

Cars, Circuits and Intercity Races

Drivers pick a car - a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport or a McLaren 570S GT4, for example - and a circuit: Monza, Silverstone, Circuit of the Americas, with a Dallas-specific track in development.

Founder Viet Tran built the lounge around the community that races in it. Velocity plans live intercity races between the Dallas and Houston venues, shown on the video walls at both ends.
