The Rosomak Wheeled Armored Vehicle Simulators

AUTOCOMP MANAGEMENT Sp. z o.o., a Motion Systems partner, is an international manufacturer and supplier of technologically advanced systems supporting training for the national defense sector and uniformed services as well as for rail, road and water transport. Autocomp Management is also the producer of dedicated specialized projects in industrial automation and naval equipment.

Autocomp Management has a huge number of completed motion simulation projects in its portfolio, but one of them deserves special attention: A shooting simulator for the KTO Rosomak crew in the platoon version.

The shooting simulator for a Rosomak crew in the platoon version trains land forces equipped with Rosomak wheeled armored personnel carriers. It reproduces the vehicle’s real tactical and fire capabilities during combat tasks. The platoon version has eight cabins that form four manned positions, each overseen from an operator-instructor station. Every position pairs a driver module on a 6DOF PS-6TM-1500 platform with a combat module - the turret plus commander and gunner stations - on a PS-6TL-1500 platform. A second center of the same design was later delivered, bringing the program to sixteen Rosomak simulator cabins in total, all on Motion Systems platforms.

The simulator’s software uses artificial intelligence algorithms to simulate battlefield operations and the behavior of computer-generated enemy forces that can realistically engage the trainees. The simulator provides a faithful realization of the full spectrum of tactical and fire tasks carried out by the crew of a Rosomak KTO platoon, including fire control.
