6DOF flight motion simulator

The Solution
Dogfight Boss develops aviation simulators for mixed reality, tailored to a wide range of users from individual enthusiasts to professional pilots. The company builds accurate, immersive recreations of aircraft and flight environments.
The main design goals for the F/A-18C fighter simulators were a small, lightweight body, easy transport, very quiet operation and out-of-the-box support for the Varjo Mixed Reality headset. Flight cockpit simulator is based on 6DOF motion platform PS-6TL-800 with gross moving load up to 800 kg, which is enough to carry the cockpit with equipment and a pilot.
Dogfight Boss flight simulators work in a Mixed Reality environment. The fully wired cockpit, for DCS, was tested with Varjo goggles. The ForceSeatPM software that controls the motion system adds features such as VR HeadWay - motion compensation that keeps the view stable in the headset and helps reduce VR sickness during long sessions.
